What to do right now

•

Knocked-out tooth

Handle it by the crown, not the root. Gently rinse, and if you can, place it back in the socket or in milk. Call us immediately.

•

Toothache

Rinse with warm salt water and take an over-the-counter pain reliever as directed. Avoid placing aspirin on the gum.

•

Broken tooth or swelling

Rinse gently, use a cold compress on the outside of the cheek, and call so we can advise and get you seen.

If you have severe facial swelling, difficulty breathing or swallowing, or uncontrolled bleeding, seek emergency medical care or call 911.
